If I fly an airplane from Toledo,Ohio to San Francisco, California will it still be light out when I arrive?

If I fly an airplane from Toledo,Ohio to San Francisco, California will it still be light out when I arrive?
If the time in Toledo,OH is 10:00pm (EDT) and the time in California is 7:00pm (PDT) will I arrive in California in the daylight? What I mean is that at 10:00pm (EDT) the sun is set in Toledo and it is completely dark out, but is the sun still out in San Francisco? Does the sun cross California after it crosses Ohio? I was just wondering because I did not pay much attention to this in school (6th grade).

The time of year matters. As winter approaches the sun will set earlier. If you are flying to San Francisco next week and arrive 7:00 PM PDT, it will still be daylight as the plane lands (but not for very much longer). As seen at: http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KSFO/2008/9/5/DailyHistory.html?req_city=NA&req_state=NA&req_statename=NA on Sep 5, 2008 sunset was 7:31 PM PDT.

It will be light as long as you leave early in the day from Ohio... Check the flight schedules..that will tell you. The sun sets from East to West so it sets in Ohio before California.

No it will be dark because you have about a 5 hour flight time at a minimum minus the three hour time difference. So that will put you in california at around midnight if your lucky. i learned this in 6th grade u will probably learn soon also make sure you pay attention in class its important

No, your entire flight will be after the sun sets and will be dark in every time zone you travel through. It will be around midnight when you arrive in California, many hours after the sun set there.

Yeah, there will still be sunlight in San Francisco at 7pm (if you fly within the next couple of days...hard to say if the flight is a end of sept flight) The sun crosses Ohio before California. That is why Ohio is dark at that time, while CA still has sun. Right now, the sun doesnt set until 8ish PDT.

Sunset in San Francisco tomorrow occurs at 7:41pm PDT. For the month of September, the sunset is at 7:38pm on the 1st, and is at 6:54pm on the 30th. Plus or minus a few minutes depending on exactly where you are. Check out the links below:

Depending on the daylight savings then...
