Does anyone know how much it would be to travel by bus from St. Louis to San Francisco California?

Does anyone know how much it would be to travel by bus from St. Louis to San Francisco California?
I need to know it for a school project, but every time I search on the Greyhound website it won't let me get far enough to find out.

It depends on want a refundable ticket or not. A non refundable ticket on the bus leaving St Louis at 7:30 am and arriving in SF at 1:45 am two days later (2 changes) costs $183 for an adult. If you want a refundable ticket, it's $204. The cost is the same for the route with only one bus change. You don't need to go to the purchase tickets option to see the price. When you see the schedule options, select one of the routes and then click on fares to see the prices. http://www.greyhound.com/home/ticketcenter/en/step2.asp

UCSF is a grad school. Focus first on getting into a good college, get good grades there and earn your degree. Your high school grades will not matter in grad school anyway.

Chances of getting into a Pharmacy school in california?

Chances of getting into a Pharmacy school in california?
I am currently a freshman in a Community College in the Sacramento area. I have called UCSF (University of California at San Francisco Pharmacy School) and USC(university of Southern California) and UOP(University of the Pacific) for their prerequisites for their Pharmacy Program. The prerequisites are pretty much the same for all of them. But one thing they did say was that about 90% of their accepted students have a Bachelors degree in Science. So i was wondering if i just complete the prerequisites at a community college and don't get my bachelors, what GPA would i have to maintain, to have a good chance at getting accepted to any Pharmacy School in California. remember i am talking without getting a Bachelors Degree. here is the list of all the pharmacy schools in California. University of Southern California School of Pharmacy , Los Angeles, CA California College for Health Sciences, CCHS , National City, CA Loma Linda University, School of Pharmacy , Loma Linda, CA Western University of Health Sciences, College of Pharmacy , Pomona, CA University of California-San Diego School of Pharmacy , San Diego, CA University of California-San Francisco School of Pharmacy , San Francisco, CA University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy , Stockton, CA

You answered your own question. Only a 10% chance. With those odds I'd say you would have to have a very high GPA.
2 :
i just finished my first year of pharmacy school. wht is ur gpa? do you have to take the pcats? most schools would take ppl without a BS degree if they are outstanding. I had a 3.6 cumulative gpa and 3.4 science gpa and a cum 80 on my pcat. but i was probably the bottom tier. it is a 10% acceptance rate at the school i applied. I would say since you went to community college at least a 3.6 gpa but they take other things into account like pcat and interview. so a 3.6 doesnt mean you will get in it means you will be considered. =D try applying to an easier school like wyoming (they take anyone above 3.0 which is easy to get). it was very time consuming (say bye bye to life). Have you consider nursing? I took nursing pre-reqs as backup and it was so easy! i wish i did nursing because i am lazy and only want to study for max 6 hours for 1 exam it is not possible to do in pharmacy school about 3-4 exams every week 100 pages to read for each. and it is impossible to predict the questions they ask everything and anything.

In California, the chances of getting accepted into any pharmacy school without a bachelors is very low. At most of the CA schools, over 90% of the students have bachelors. I believe one of the schools in CA, requires science courses be taken at a 4 year institution. At my college, which is not in CA, taking all your prereq courses at a CC without a bachelors is the kiss of death. The chances of acceptance are under 1%. You should try the newest school which isn't fully accredited. It is in Sacramento. I believe it is called California North State or something like that.

chances are very low....unless ur GPA and ur interview are both outstanding. Now a days pharmacy school is already competitive enough and like they said almost eveyrone has a degree. California college for health sciences??? Never heard of it. You're missing touro university in vallejo, ca and if you're from sacramento there is a new pharamcy school opening up next year around rancho cordova.....i think it was called northern gate college of pharmacy. Either way i would recommend gettin ur degree to even have a shot at it.

If I have legacy at University of California Berkeley in San Francisco, a STATE school, what does that mean?

If I have legacy at University of California Berkeley in San Francisco, a STATE school, what does that mean?
I know what legacy is, but someone told me that it acts differently in a state school. Berkeley accepts 91% in state and 9% out of state. If I have legacy, but am not from California, does that put me in the 91% instead of the 9%? thank you

No, you're still in the 9%. As far as I know, legacy has no impact at state schools.

UC Berkeley does not consider legacy.

If anyone got accepted or will get accepted to University of California San Francisco for pharmacy school.?

If anyone got accepted or will get accepted to University of California San Francisco for pharmacy school.?
or are thinking of applying to UCSF, what you had/will do to do in order to get accepted in terms of grades? gpa? work? volunteer work? extracurricular activities? any research or published a paper or need to do a research and publish a paper? is pcat required? does a college student need to take the ap exams or is the ap exams only for high school students?( i'm asking this question because it says in their website its required and im really confused about that and quite not sure). could you still get accepted if your gpa was low but was brought up to 3.45 by the time the bachelors degree was earned? and anything else that is necessary for UCSF? I know most students who applied are biology or biochemistry majors, is it ok to be a chemistry major and still get accepted to UCSF? please help because i want to apple to UCSF for pharmacy school and i have two years left to get my bachelor.

Chemistry is an excellent major for Pharm school. If your overall GPA is not so hot, see if you can point out that your major courses have a much higher GPA. The Admissions Committee really don't care if you got a D in "US History Before 1865" if you were acing the courses that directly affect your Pharm studies- the chem and other lab courses. The stuff about the AP exams sounds weird. I doubt seriously that there is any relation to your graduate school application. You can sign up for the US News Graduate School review online and see if USF-Pharm is accepting students with your qualifications - but this is at least one year premature. Don't waste your money yet. Also, why didn't you proofread this question before you sent it? Not only is it sloppy, but it suggests that you are not the person I want filling my kid's prescriptions - and not RPh material at all. You might want to re-think this entire career thing.

No, but I can let you know that the reason it is not listed is because it is a proprietary school. You'll have to call to get the info and they will likely be reluctant to give it to you until you come in.
2 :
check again on thier web site.

no sorry. maybe you should try looking it on the internet by the school name. good luck!

http://pharmacy.ucsf.edu/pharmd/admissions/steps/1/academic/ That link provides the the academic prerequisites for the school. It gives a list of courses you need to take and how many hours of each. Remember to talk to an adviser though so you can be placed in the correct classes if you are still doing your pre-pharmacy years. Good-luck!

The biggest chunk of change you'll need will be for first/last/security deposit on your apartment. Even if you get a reasonably inexpensive place, that can amount to $3,000. Other expenses are as listed by the above poster. Generally: Cable--$60/month ISP--$30-60/month (there is no citywide wireless) Utilities--depends on your usage, but probably $40/month Phone--bare minimum is about $20/month Transportation--Muni fast pass is $60/month Food--Depending on if you eat in or out

You're visa will only be for 3 months. You won't be able to work. You will not be allowed to immigrate. You failed to mention that. You won't make enough to live in the city, you'll have to live in Oakland like I did.
