They don't provide any premed class, it's a graduate school.
2 :
UCSF is a graduate school only, with programs in medicine, dentistry, nursing and pharmacology. Berkeley or Davis for pre med.
3 :
UCSD, UC Berkeley and UCLA all kind of trade off being the top in whatever category, and each year one of them tends to get -swamped- with applications and becomes impossible to get into. All are excellent schools. UCSD's reputation in the bio sciences is stellar, not to say Berkeley is in any way inferior. It's got a reputation down here for being a very very difficult, intense school. If you're just looking at the UC system, Irvine has a phenomenal bio sci program, but has a reputation for getting an enormous number of pre-meds and burning them out like cheap fuel. It's a very hardcore research school that's not easy on undergrads. UC Riverside is a -good- school, but tends to get overshadowed by the others. Also no one in their right mind would want to live in Riverside. Davis is probably as good a bio-sci/premed school as San Diego. Santa Cruz is close behind them. Basically, pick ANY UC school except for Merced. They're all stellar.

UCSF med school is one of the finest med schools in the US.

Yes, absolutely!

The only issue you might find with the area is that you're close to OP Mall and Blanding - traffic in that area tends to be bad most times and a nightmare during rush hour (literally miles-long backups on I-295 between 4-7 PM). If you're coming from across the river, your only other option off I-295 is Roosevelt Ave, which isn't much better at rush hour. Unless you're planning to work on Westside, might look across the river in Mandarin or even consider the new community of Nocatee on CR-210 - while the latter is a bit out-of-the-way right now, they're working on the new 9-B extension to 9-A, which in a year or so will provide a quick, easy access.

No, not all art schools teach culinary arts. Here is a list of several sites for Baking and Pastry Arts programs. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Baking%20and%20Pastry%20Arts%20programs Art Institute of Jacksonville They offer several levels of training in the culinary arts and management, but do not mention specific specialties. Perhaps you could contact them through their website and ask for more detailed information. http://www.reluctantgourmet.com/culinary_schools_art_institute_jacksonville.htm
