If anyone got accepted or will get accepted to University of California San Francisco for pharmacy school.?
or are thinking of applying to UCSF, what you had/will do to do in order to get accepted in terms of grades? gpa? work? volunteer work? extracurricular activities? any research or published a paper or need to do a research and publish a paper? is pcat required? does a college student need to take the ap exams or is the ap exams only for high school students?( i'm asking this question because it says in their website its required and im really confused about that and quite not sure). could you still get accepted if your gpa was low but was brought up to 3.45 by the time the bachelors degree was earned? and anything else that is necessary for UCSF? I know most students who applied are biology or biochemistry majors, is it ok to be a chemistry major and still get accepted to UCSF? please help because i want to apple to UCSF for pharmacy school and i have two years left to get my bachelor.

Chemistry is an excellent major for Pharm school. If your overall GPA is not so hot, see if you can point out that your major courses have a much higher GPA. The Admissions Committee really don't care if you got a D in "US History Before 1865" if you were acing the courses that directly affect your Pharm studies- the chem and other lab courses. The stuff about the AP exams sounds weird. I doubt seriously that there is any relation to your graduate school application. You can sign up for the US News Graduate School review online and see if USF-Pharm is accepting students with your qualifications - but this is at least one year premature. Don't waste your money yet. Also, why didn't you proofread this question before you sent it? Not only is it sloppy, but it suggests that you are not the person I want filling my kid's prescriptions - and not RPh material at all. You might want to re-think this entire career thing.
